Fire up the grill and pop some corks!
There is nothing better than the smell of the grill in the summertime. From brats to burgers, from ribs to chicken, from veggie skewers to seafood, nothing beats dining outdoors with some smoke in the air.
And what to drink? Grilling reds, of course!
This is a favorite wine category for us. The reds that can handle a chill yet still deliver the goods when it comes to matching the bold flavors off the Weber.
We’ll be talking about Zinfandel, Gamay, and Zwigelt for sure (three of our favorite grilling red categories), but we have some secrets up our sleeves for the others. We will be discussing at least eight wine varieties that will be perfect with grilled food, and what makes them so good.
As always, no specific wines are needed to have to enjoy the class. We teach on the model of “learn today to shop smarter tomorrow.” Enjoy a glass or two of anything you wish while learning. (Even a beer if you wish … don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.)
