Pop a bottle! It’s time for The Founding Families of Oregon Pinot Noir!

Category:

They are the families that started it all. The ones that took a chance in the late 1960s and early 1970s, planting Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris when everyone thought they were nuts. They are the founding families of Oregon Pinot Noir.

In this super fun class we’ll learn the history of these wineries, the stories behind the brands, the families that even today are part of the fabric of the Willamette Valley wine scene.

Five families, five histories, along with a huge amount of Willamette Valley wine information will be discussed. You’ll never look at the Oregon wine section of the wine shop the same way again.

No wines are required to taste along with the class, but it sure makes it more fun. You’ll get specific suggestions on wines upon purchase of the workshop.

The Wine Workshops are designed to be a fast infusion of wine knowledge, taught by one of the most experienced wine educators in the country, certified sommelier Jason Kallsen. When properly and clearly explained, wine does not need to be intimidating. Which of course makes it much more fun.

We hope you can join us forĀ The Founding Families of Oregon Pinot Noir!
