If there is one highly misunderstood wine region in France, it’s Beaujolais. Producing, on one hand, some of the best terroir-driven and food-friendly gems in the entire world of wine (Cru Beaujolais), then, on the other hand, one of the most forgettable and industrial wines around (most Beaujolais Nouveau).
In this special class, we will examine why this is so, then step you through ALL ten “Crus” of Beaujolais and what makes each unique. The information is vast, and you can look forward to great handouts, maps, and a ton of new knowledge. If you wish to have a bottle open during the show, simply seek out any wine from the Beaujolais “Crus.”
The Wine Workshops are designed to be a fast infusion of wine knowledge, taught by one of the most experienced wine educators in the country, certified sommelier Jason Kallsen. When properly and clearly explained, wine does not need to be intimidating. Which of course then makes it much more fun.
We hope you can join us for the Wine Workshop: (Real) Beaujolais.
