Pop a bottle! It’s time for RED BLENDS OF THE WORLD!

BLEND IT UP! Time for great red blends of the wine world!

When wine drinkers hear ‘red blends,’ everyone thinks different things. Some go straight to Bordeaux, where Merlot and Cabernet dance together. Some go to the Southern Rhône, where Grenache-based blends (with almost a dozen red varieties) come together and party. Still, others think about wines like The Prisoner and Marietta Old Vine Red, which has grown by leaps and bounds in the last ten years.

We’ll be covering all of these examples, and more.

Join us to learn about the history of blending red grapes, what works well together (and what does not), and some great stories of accidents or situations of a vintage that led to major wines enjoyed by millions.

As always, no specific wines are needed to have to enjoy the class. We teach on the model of “learn today to shop smarter tomorrow.” Enjoy a glass or two of anything you wish while learning. (Even a beer if you wish … don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.)

The Wine Workshops are designed to be a fast infusion of wine knowledge, taught by one of the most experienced wine educators in the country, certified sommelier Jason Kallsen along with his wife Angela. When properly and clearly explained, wine does not need to be intimidating.

We hope you can join us for RED BLENDS OF THE WINE WORLD!
