This Somm Gift Kit:

  • Gaintza, Getariako Txakolina: From the Basque region around Bilbao, this is as bright and refreshing as can be. It literally smells of the ocean and is for sure one of our favorite wines with shellfish in general and oysters in particular.
  • Protos, Ribera del Duero Tino Fino: A powerhouse of a wine, packed with deep red and black fruits but with the telltale Ribera del Duero acidity and verve. In the video we kinda go off on food pairing ideas with this one … the list gets long!
  • Marqués de Vargas, Rioja Reserva 2014: We searched high and low for a great Rioja Reserva to include with this Somm Gift Kit, and we found it in the Vargas. Showing all the detail that only age can bring, but without breaking the bank.
