What does “terroir” really mean? It’s more than you think.

Terroir is often defined as a “sense of place” but as you’ll learn in this class, it’s far more than that.

We’ll detail out the impact of place but also help redefine terroir for you. Get ready to learn about soils, climate impact, global warming effects on wine, hydrology, and what different regions bring to different wines. There is no doubt this information will make you a better wine consumer!

No wines are required to taste along with the class, but it sure makes it more fun. You’ll get specific suggestions on wines upon purchase of the workshop.

The Wine Workshops are designed to be a fast infusion of wine knowledge, taught by one of the most experienced wine educators in the country, certified sommelier Jason Kallsen. When properly and clearly explained, wine does not need to be intimidating. Which of course makes it much more fun.

We hope you can join us for Detailing Terroir!
